Tough Cases Deserve Tough Representation

Put My Experience on Your Side

Drug Crimes

In Illinois state court there are essentially four types of drug charges:

  • Possession of a controlled substance

  • Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver

  • Delivery of a controlled substance

  • Criminal drug conspiracy

The severity of the charges pending against you will depend: on the amount of the narcotics involved; if you have a criminal background; and various other potential enhancers (i.e. if weapons or guns are involved, or if the offense occurred within 1000 feet of a school, church, park, etc.)

Don't Let a Mistake
Ruin Your Life

There are many ways to challenge drug prosecutions. I have successfully defended clients where:

  • The arresting officer lacked probable cause to arrest my client

  • The arresting officer lacked probable cause to conduct a traffic stop of my client

  • The arresting officers recovered the narcotics from a location where they did not have the right to be – narcotics were suppressed by the Court and the case was dismissed

  • The search warrant utilized was improperly obtained

  • The search of the location where the drugs were recovered was improperly executed

  • The prosecution could not prove my client lived at the address where the drugs were recovered

  • The testimony of the officers was rebutted by the testimony of “civilian” witnesses

  • Video evidence obtained by my office rebutted the testimony of the officers

  • The prosecution was unable to prove “intent to deliver”

  • The prosecution was unable to prove that an actual delivery occurred
